Lizeth De La Luz is a poet, writer, editor and educator from California. She holds a Creative Writing degree from Chapman University and is pursuing an MFA degree at San Francisco State University. She writes about the frustration of language barriers, learned barriers, and the anxieties of living/loving/birthing/grieving in a Mexican body in the United States.

Areas of Focus: Poetry, Graphic Novels, Short Stories, Emerging Writer Mentorship, Creative Writing Instructional Design K-12 & Higher Education, Teaching College Composition (Reading & Writing).

I’m offering free workshops for emerging writers to help demystify the submission process. Why? Because getting your work out there shouldn’t be difficult and building an audience as an early writer can be intimidating but it doesn’t have to be. Let’s make the literary scene more accessible. Workshops can occur Monday-Saturday during regular school or business hours. Chat soon!
